It’s again, about the all american superhero movie. The superhero against the terrorists that from my understanding, the origin was from a middle eastern country. At the beginning, with this kind of opening, I felt skeptic already. But then as the minutes passed by, I was sucked into the movie. Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr), is a billionaire industrialist, genius inventor, while performing a weapon test somewhere overseas, he is kidnapped and forced to build a devastating weapon. Instead, using his intellect and inguinity, he builds a hi-tech suit of armor and used it to escape. Upon returning to America, he refines the armor, and becomes the Iron Man, promising to protect the world. When he is in captivity, he realizes the weapons that his company produces, are used to kill innocent civilians. He asks his mentor also his co-partner of the company to stop the production, or convert it to something pro-humanity. Of course the co-partner refuses the idea. They make tons of money by producing weapons.
Almost to the end, I found out that the co-partner sold the weapons to the terrorist group and ordered them to capture and kill Tony Stark. It’s a mutual agreement between them. The terrorist wanted to have control over Asia, and the co-parter wanted to own the company for himself. At the end of the movie, the Iron Man won the battle (of course, da nu boga lakon), the co-partner and the terrorists were killed. Rame lah pokona.
But I see something beyond the movie. Is it possible that the wars nowadays, are also supported by the weapon industries around the world? There’re the market, so there’re must be the suppliers too. And maybe, since the US is the one who is really adamant about the war in the middle east, is it possible that they are the one who produces the weapons and sell them to the terrorists as mentioned in the movie? You can tell that I was really sucked into the movie, right?
