A Night To Remember part un

 Here’s the prologue:

We have a new neighbour right to the  left wall of  our room. He just moved in about 4 months ago into this building, and he likes to invite his friends over.  Apparently, they’re musicians, or something like that.  So they like to play music, a lot.  Well, I don’t mind about that, if they do it in the proper time.  La ini, they played music OUT LOUD!  As if they lived in a music studio and nobody lived around. Grrr…hhhh!! The things that made me mad so much when they played their music with sound system—until late night.  There was time they did that past midnight.  So, that was really annoying.  Good thing that some policemen came to the building to shut them off (another neighbour told us)—and we had a peaceful life, not for a long time, though.

I thought these guys had learnt from their experience with the cops.  Instead, they did it again! (like britney spears’s song).  One night, February 5, I was alone, mc already left to work.  The neighbour were playing their music again.  I said to myself: Oh well, hopefully they’ll stop before 11, max.  My wish was unfulfilled.  They kept making the noises, and when I checked the clock, it was 11.20 pm! I knew that they were drunk too.  Even worse, they started  thumping the floor and my room became the echo chamber for the noises.Ohh…that’s it! I got to call the cops.  I wouldn’t let these ignorant people disturbing my quite time.  So I called the Waterloo Region police dept (I didn’t call the 911#, considering it wasn’t an emergency, and  didn’t want the cops, altogether with EMS and fire depts to show up), talked with an operator and told her about the situation.  So I stayed up past midnight waiting for the cops to come and hoping the cops would bust the neighbour when they were still in the middle of the party, but (unfortunately?) they stopped making the noises around 11.30 pm and his friends already left the place.  About 12.15 am (finally) they arrived, 3 of good looking ones.  They came too late anyway, I really liked to tell them so. I was very sleepy and after I showed them the neighbour’s door, I went back to my room, trying to eavesdrop, hehehe.  I heard one of the cops knocking the door.  No response.  Then he tried again.  This time I heard the neighbour opened it, and talked to the cop.  I heard the cop saying that he got a lot of complains for the noise and warned him not to repeat it again.  The neighbour was behave, apparently, he apologized and that was it.  No arrest made.  I was hoping the cops would take his guitar and the sound system and handcuffed the man and put him in jail.  I stayed awake until no sounds heard again in the hallway, and the cops had walked out of the building.  That night, I think I was too sleepy to remember and take the moment as something extraordinary.  Because, I never dealt with a cop before in my entire life–for a criminal case, of course.  And there I was, calling for cops and reporting about the noisy neighbour.  Oh!

In the morning when mc came home, I told him what happened. He put his arms around me and apologized for not being there and let me dealt alone with the situation. I said that was fine, maybe the neighbour himself was a good guy, but his friends the ones who made the noises, didn’t care because they don’t live here. It’s Canada afterall, I trust Canadian police and I have no fear with them, as long as I am at the innocent side. :D.  Good thing that we are allowed to file a report if our privacy is disrupted by neighbours.

Since then, the neighbour has been pretty behave.  He and his friends still play music, though, but no more past midnight.  They still get drunk, but at least not passing the limit that makes me have to call the cops again. I’ve met the neighbour twice in the hallway, and just for the hospitality, we exchanged hi’s.  He was a skinny-full-tattoed-body type of guy, and looked like a junky, with long hair.  Hmm..not an ideal kind of neighbour we want to have for a long time.  Hopefully soon we can move out from here and buy a  house.  Until that happens, hopefully this guy will move out before us. Hehehe…

  1. Enak ya…
kalo ada tetangga kayak gitu di sini… kita biasanya langsung bawain golok aja, trus mondar-mandir di rumahnya. Soalnya polisinya ga fungsi.. kalo mau fungsi, musti ada duitnye… hehe

  2. Yea I know..*roll my eyes*
